The photos of Castres, Albi, Lautrec and the fountain of Lacaune were realized by one of our hosts Mr JP Boutin, who authorized us to insert them.
The slide-show of Albi, Lautrec, Ambialet has been made with the photos of Mrs Lachaud, who came in 2010 in our guest house.

day won't be enough to appreciate alle the facets of it : the old
bridge, banks of the Tarn, the cathedral, the Toulouse-Lautrec museum,
the cloister Saint-Salvy, the old town...
You'll appreciate the city of Castres
: you can make shopping, go to the restaurants...
A halt with the Jean-Jaures museum, perhaps ? Or a visit of the Goya
museum ?
In country of "Cocagne", Lautrec,
founded
medieval village in 940, classified in the most beautiful villages of
France, will enchant you with its half-timbered houses, its ramparts,
fortifications, tower, its lanes, its windmill restored and opened.
You could visit the mill and observe some plants of "pastel". It is the
culture of this tinctorial plant which gave its name to the country of
"cocagne". The "cocagne" is the small hull made up with the crushed
sheets of the "pastel" for drying.
Country of "Cocagne" means abundance and a very sweet way of life.
Lautrec is also famous with its AOC given to the pink garlic of
Lautrec.

In Giroussens, the jardin des Martels,
a beautiful
floral park which offers 2500 different varieties of
plants ans flowers. A mini farm with 150 animals also.
The Vineyard of Gaillac is very famous. Many wine growers invite you to tasting on their fields.Possibility of visiting the cooperative cellars of Labastide de Levis, Rabastens and Tecou
For impassioned history, we recommend you the Gallo Roman site of Montans.
Lacaune, 
800 m of
altitude, old thermal spa, in preserved testimonies : the casino, the
water of Mont-Roucous. It's also famous for its know-how as regards
pork-butchery and its famous race of ewe "Lacaune" whose milk is used
exclusively for manufacture of the Roquefort.
- Ambialet : around a shistous needle, the Tarn makes a long loop of 3 km, when the rivers seems to reconsider its steps, the peninsula of Ambialet is about 30 meters broad.
- Hautpoul : fortress fixed on its rock piton dominating Mazamet, the entry of the Montagne Noire. The house of Wood and the toy "La Maison du Bois et du Jouet" will open its doors to you.
- Monestiès : classified among the most beautiful villages of France, nested in the valley of Cerou, offers a particularly attractive overall picture and many treasures to lenght of its lanes : the bell-tower fortress, the bridge on the Roman way, the Castel of Candeze and especially celebrate "Mise au Tombeau" (20 polychromes statues inside the Chapel Saint-Jacques)
